- High hardness: it can effectively cut stainless steel materials with high hardness and maintain the sharpness and durability of the insert edge.
- Good wear resistance: in the long cutting process, can resist the stainless steel material on the blade wear, extend the service life of the insert.
- High temperature resistance: stainless steel processing will produce high cutting temperatures, the insert material needs to have good high temperature resistance to ensure stable cutting performance.
TIPS:
- If the machining material is of high hardness, such as hardened steel, carbide, etc., you should choose an insert material with high hardness and good wear resistance, such as cubic boron nitride (CBN) or ceramic inserts. These inserts can withstand the cutting pressure from high hardness materials and have a long service life.
- For materials with lower hardness, such as aluminium alloys and copper alloys, carbide inserts are available. Carbide inserts have good cutting performance and economy and can meet the machining requirements of most soft materials.
